Singing for health and well-being

★The Benefits of Singing★

There are many benefits of singing and why it’s good for us, not least because it helps are health and well-being, it’s also such fun especially if no-one is listening!

Here are my top reasons for you to get singing:

  • Singing promotes a healthy heart: it gently keeps your heart active and opens it up to feeling emotions as you express yourself.

    Singing promotes health and well-being

  • Singing is a gentle form of aerobic exercise: when you sing you are exercising your core muscles as well as improving your lung capacity, circulation and co-ordination. That’s just fantastic.

  • Singing allows you to unwind and detox: everyone needs to give themselves permission to slow down after a hard day. Singing addresses this and rebalances your mental, physical and spiritual wellbeing, just like being on holiday!

What people say

I originally wanted to have lessons purely for the joy of learning a skill. I'm delighted to find myself in Helen's very capable hands. She clearly knows what she's talking about and is a true professional. She quickly puts me at ease, gives me confidence, and helps me understand both my range and which songs suit my voice. I'm motivated and energised afterwards.
